Place your order today by submitting the order form below and the payment in cash or check payable to Dougherty County Extension / 4-H. The trees will be available for you to pick up from Dougherty County Extension Office by the end of March 2025.

The available citrus trees are listed below:

  1. Oroblanco Grapefruit – sweet & fragrant white grapefruit.
  2. Meyer Lemon – less tart and slightly larger than ordinary lemon. Thin-skinned, juicy and sweeter lemons used for lemonade or lemon pie. Also an attractive landscape tree.
  3. Valencia Oranges – High juice content, thin skin and few seeds. Fragrant blooms.
  4. Sweet Georgia Kisses – Seedless Kishu Mandarin for Georgia. One of the most delicious mandarins. The fruit is smaller than a golf ball, super easy to peel, tender, juicy, fragrant and sweet.
  5. Key Limes – Great for gut, skin and heart health. Used for cooking, garnishing and cleaning.
  6. Satsuma – Juicy mandarin with a rich sweet taste. Zipper peel (the peel zips right off).
  7. Sweet kumquats – Cold hardy yet heat tolerant. All fruit parts are edible including the rind and seeds in one or two bites. The rind has an incredible spicy sweet taste.

All available citrus varieties are UGA recommended and GDA approved for southwest Georgia. The trees are produced and supplied by Georgia Grown Citrus, LLC. – Jo Nina Nursery in Thomasville, GA.

For more information in planting citrus trees in south Georgia, refer to the UGA Extension bulletin titled Citrus Fruit for Southern and Coastal Georgia.
